Emile’s Grammar Scheme is intended to work alongside your writing curriculum helping teachers deliver standalone, discrete grammar lessons.
The structure is one recap session, one whole class input session and one short writing activity per week. These three sessions should take no more than 15 minutes each.
Premium Users – Tasks should be set on Emile to help confirm students’ understanding and once a half term a Battle on Emile should be done to consolidate understanding.

Emile’s Schemes are used in over 2,000 schools. They are easy to use, low workload, fun and impactful.
The planning is done and all mapped to the Appendix to the National Curriculum.
Over 300 powerpoints are ready to download and all are editable.

There are over 200 lessons each with a powerpoint, worksheets and games in the student app (part of the premium resource).
Each lesson has been carefully planned and repeatedly revisits previously encountered terminology.

All lessons start with a revisit of grammar terms usually in a context.
Sentence breakdowns and analyses, spot the mistakes, and categorising word types are all used to make sure the terms are understood and fixed in students’ minds.
