Emile has received a few awards and a lot of recognition over the last few months and thought we had better tell someone!

We got off to a great start in December by being selected as one of 5 Edtech Innovations of the year by the world-famous Bookseller.

The Bookseller magazine is a prestigious publication and has a huge online presence of over 2000,000 monthly users. Emile was the only primary education sector product selected. We were among a great collection of innovations including a university student brokerage system and a popular 3D printing community.

Emile was invited to form part of an education trade mission to Mexico organised by the Department for International Trade (DIT) and the British Education Suppliers Association (BESA). Accompanied by Baroness Hooper, we met and made a number of presentations including to the Secretary of State for Education.

Following on from the trade mission, we proudly presented Emile at Bett Latin America. There were over 120 speakers from across the world discussing education technology. We were able to showcase Emile and discuss the use of games in teaching maths.

Being listed as one of the 51 Tech 1st by BusinessCloud was fantastic in December. BusinessCloud has been set up by UKFast CEO Lawrence Jones and is a quarterly IT magazine distributed throughout the country. Emile is a groundbreaking and a breathtakingly good maths resource and we were proud to be featured!

In January, we headed down to BETT in London. BETT is the second biggest educational event in the world with over 30,000 attendees.

The BETT show offered a chance for all educators who attended to view Emile’s fantastic features that improve children’s learning in an engaging and entertaining way. It was thanks to the hard work of our team that we were able to show Emile to its full potential and gain over 300+ enquiries.

Emile was also chosen to be represented on the DIT stand at BETT from over 400 UK companies and to form part of the Great British Product Trial!

In January, I was invited to talk on Disruptive TV about ways of implementing research from universities into lessons whilst keeping costs low and to talk to an inward Chinese trade mission about education in the UK.

In February, Emile was shortlisted for a Global Education Award (GESS) and we find out the results in Dubai next week!

Last week, I took the stage at #BeMoreManchester by Creative England. It was a huge honour to speak alongside Andy Burnham (Greater Manchester Mayor), Caroline Norbury (Chief Executive of Creative England), Lemn Sissay (Chancellor of Manchester University), Ged Doherty (Oscar nominee and Chair of the BRIT Awards) and Nigel Collier (BAFTA Award winner).

Finally, this week we were listed as Greater Manchester Innovation 100 company. It’s a huge honour and lovely recognition of the fantastic work our team has done with our partners over the last 12 months.
